I have a nymph which has caught me a few barbel now and they seem to like the thing. The trouble is, I have only one of it, and so I thought it might be an idea to take a picture of it before I lose the damn thing or hang it up on the river bed or the branches of a tree.
I´m not going to make any particular claims on behalf of this nymph. It is pretty nondescript and looks pretty much like a gold rib hare´s ear or something similar but perhaps with a little more colour. It is certainly not going to win any beauty competitions and it is already beginning to look somewhat the worse for wear.
The bead head gives it a bit more density and gets it down to where it needs to be.
Anyway, for the record, here it is. This lovely photograph was kindly taken for me by a colleague at work, Jackie Benstead.
